Male Pattern Baldness (Androgenic Alopecia)

This is the most common cause of hair loss which can affect up to 70% of males during their lifetime. It is hereditary and often presents with thinning of the hair and hairline recession.
Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) plays a major role in the dermal papillae where the hair follicles are located leading to thinning of the hair and baldness.

Women are affected too

Female Androgenic Alopecia also known as Female Pattern Baldness can affect up to 40% of women during the lifetime. Although it rarely leads to complete baldness, it can present with diffuse thinning of hair over the scalp.

Eyelash & Eyebrow

Many are impacted by thin or scant eyelashes and eyebrows which affects not only their physical appearance but also their self confidence affecting social life and psychological well being. At PAPHI, we provide treatments for hair loss in these areas as well.
